Self-doubt creeps up behind me and throws me to the ground sometimes before I can even turn around. I find that anytime I am stretching my edges, claiming my next step, or solidly going for my dreams, it pays a visit. The funny thing is it takes me awhile to notice since it never comes in the front door. It sulks around back and then pokes it’s head in when I’m not looking.
My self-doubt doesn’t just come around when I preparing to do something big that I’ve never tried (although it’s done that many times) it really likes to saunter up and sit down after I’ve had the courage to step out in a new way. It loves to say, “are you sure you did that right” or “should you have said that”?
I wonder where that voice came from? How long did it stop me from going for my dreams before I learned how to move around it, through it, in spite of it, and then finally to dance with it?

I was born with cerebral palsy and have faced challenges with my body on and off my whole life. More recently walking is sometimes a challenge, even with my walker I sometimes feel “locked” in a body that it is hard to feel emotions beyond frustration, fear and anger at failure to move when I want. Sometimes my inability to move does not allow me to feel anything beyond focusing on my inability, which creates a truly vicious circle.
Don’t get me wrong, I feel blessed most of the time and sometimes I lose sight of how lucky I am. That is when I turn to the element of water, the emotional realm, how I feel, especially about myself.
I know that I am not the only one to ever feel trapped in circuitous emotional patterns that we did not know how to break free of. Like a groove deeply engrained in an old record that I cannot pull off the internal turntable. Through Natural Rhythms and the teachings of water, first and always the power of love, true self-love that makes my body melt into a sea of self-acceptance. This feeling even felt for moments is a quantum healing experience. Opening to the possibility that I can feel this release of critical self-judgment just for a brief time opens a pathway to the reality of it.

New Moon Clearing Cleansing Healing Ritual

New Moon’s are potent times to anchor your intentions for the upcoming growing cycle. In my life creation, I’ve been working with that aspect very successfully for several years now. But last month I was guided to do something new, an energetic internal clearing and cleansing ritual, for the next five new moons.
Diving deeper into my inner awareness, I realized this five month ritual was creating more space internally for my intentions to flourish. Doing it over the five moons means that I work with a moon of each element, therefore clearing each realm (emotional, energetic, mental, physical, and spiritual).
Last night I did the first one with great results and on the way home I was guided to share it with you in case it can assist you in any way.
First of all it is important to remember that anytime you want to create something new it helps if you clear the area first. Flooding

For the past five years my partner Scott and I have been blessed to live on the precious yellow river. September 22, 2009, this sweet river spilled over the 100 year flood line and into our neighborhood. If you saw the news you know it also hit many other places in the Atlanta area.
The water rose so fast it was unreal. During our time here it has flooded over its banks several times so we weren’t too concerned at first. But when we saw it pouring into the cul de sac now that was something to get alarmed about. We noticed this around noon and walked down to take a look. By 1pm it was rising so fast we decided we needed to get our computers and get out as there were many roads closing.
